Williams' Elkhound Ranch Kennels
David Williams has directed the training of over 5000 dogs, earning 14 AKC obedience titles, including the AKC's top award, the Obedience Trial Champion.
He has received hundreds of training awards, including a ranking as one of the 10 Best Trainers in the Country by "Front and Finish Dogtrainers Magazine".
David received a BS Ed. from NWMSU, Maryville Mo. and a Masters Degree in education from UMKC. He taught high school science for 7 years in the KC area before making his hobby obedience training and showing dogs a full time occupation. He started training classes at home and soon was enrolling over 200 dogs each year.
Williams bought 11 acres of pasture land near Metro North Mall, not far from KCI airport. On it he built an 8000 square foot state-of-the-art boarding, grooming and training facility. This Kansas City Dog Kennel was designed to give each large dog free access to an outside covered patio and a doorway inside to a private heated/air conditioned area for their food, water and bed. Playtimes, walks and romps in fenced yards are available to boarded dogs. Special cats only areas give cats in the Cat Nap Inn a multi roomed kitty condo with a sun room.
